New York State Education Law requires that students receive hearing screening as part of the school health services provided by each school district. This screening will be done for all new entrants and for students in Grades K, 1, 3, 5, 7 & 10. The purpose of this requirement is to detect the presence of hearing problems likely to impede a student’s learning. We will be conducting hearing screening for our students starting in October. If the results of the screening indicate that your child requires further follow-up you will receive written notification.
